How To Make A Spiked Boston Cooler

Spring may not have officially sprung quite yet, but temperatures are on the rise and we’ve got the perfect refreshing cocktail to mark the occasion. While it’s name might fool you, the Boston Cooler is a Midwestern classic combining spicy ginger ale with vanilla ice cream to make a sweet and foamy concoction that warms you up and cools you down all at the same time.

To make our Toast! Spiked Boston Cooler, all you will need is the following:

1-2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
1 12 oz can of Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer
1-2 oz Vodka

While a standard Boston Cooler can be served like either a root beer float (with the ginger ale poured over the ice cream) or a milkshake (blended together), for our spiked cooler you’ll want to blend all of the above ingredients together before serving in a glass. For a more complex flavor, try a Toast! Boston-Irish Cooler by substituting Jameson in place of the vodka.

Whether you’re looking to heat up, cool down, or just need a little evening “medicine”, our Spiked Boston Cooler has got you covered!
